Delay log

Slips found between P6 uploads, the delays logged from them, and contractor explanations.

Delay log

Work the slips

  1. Open Delay log. 'Slips found in the schedule' lists unfinished activities whose planned finish moved later since the last P6 upload.
  2. Tick slips and Log delay, add a slip to an existing delay, or Dismiss it.
  3. Each delay has a trade, activities, dates, days lost, cause, responsible party, evidence and status.
  4. Add evidence: a photo or file, or where it is (log date, meeting, drawing number).

Contractor explanations

  1. When a contractor's activity passes its finish unfinished, or slips, they are asked to explain on their scope page.
  2. Explanations to review show at the top. Accept it, or Query it with a note.

Rules

  1. Delays are counted one by one. Overlaps are never added into one project delay.
