Safety control center
Pre-task plans, permits, inspections, corrective actions, incidents, stop work, toolbox talks and observations in one place.
Find your way round
- Safety is the first item in the project menu and the first tile on the master board.
- Tabs: Overview, Pre-task plans, Permits, Inspections, Corrective actions, Incidents and near misses, Stop work, Toolbox talks, Observations, Training and cards, Lift plans.
- Overview shows the leading indicators (observations, near misses, JHAs, inspections, permits, actions, stop work, training) and the lagging ones (recordables, TRIR, DART).
Everyday steps
- Before the task: New pre-task plan (JHA). A plan for today that needs a permit with none open is flagged.
- Permits: Issue permit. A permit lasts one shift at most and shows EXPIRED once past its end and not closed. Close it when the work is done.
- Report an incident or near miss. Leave out names and medical details.
- Anyone may stop work: Record stop-work. A manager releases it with what was fixed.
- Record a toolbox talk after each talk.
For managers
- Confirm incident classifications, verify corrective actions (closed by the owner, verified by someone else) and release stopped work.
- Inspections: keep the register with frequency and competent person. A failure raises a corrective action.
Only the PM, CM and superintendent can confirm, verify and release.
Safety is never held
- Safety reports stay open to everyone even when their training is overdue or the NDA is not yet signed.
