Working over each other

Finds crews from different contractors in the same area at the same time where one is above the other or under a crane lift.

Working over each other Schedule

Find the hazards

  1. Open Schedule, then the 'Working over each other' tab.
  2. Hazards on the current schedule lists crews 6 ft or more above another crew, or a crane lift over a crew.
  3. Same-area overlaps with no work elevation are listed for review. Enter the elevation under Work elevations, or bring it in from a P6 activity code named Elevation.

Fix them

  1. The Re-sequence plan tries a safety tie (one crew finishes before the other starts) both ways and keeps the one that leaves the project finish and hard constraints unchanged.
  2. Press Apply and re-run to write the ties, marked 'Safety sequence' with your name.
  3. Where float cannot fix it, or both crews are already working, decide under Need a decision: Accept the delay, or Record protection (deck, netting, barricaded drop zone, lift plan).
